Pixel feature drops explained

Pixel Feature Drops are exactly what the name suggests: regular updates that bring new features to Pixel phones. While new Android releases like Android 13 bring sweeping changes across the OS, Feature Drops are smaller updates focused on specific additions. Google released its first feature drop in December 2019, and new releases typically come out in December, March, and June.

Google announced it latest pixel feature drop on June 6th, and it’s available for Pixel 4 and later. The update includes a new music video creation tool, easy access to your COVID-19 vaccination card from the home screen, new wallpapers for Pride Month, a talk mode to reduce background noise in the Pixel Sound Booster accessibility mode, and more information about the lock screen, e.g. B. a video feed from the Nest doorbell.
