How to Adjust Basic Volume in Spotify

1. Open the Spotify app.
2. Tap on the gear icon in the top right corner of your screen.
3. Tap the reproduction option at the top of the menu.
4. Scroll down until you see Volume.
Under volume there are three options: Noisy, normal and Calm.

If you are working on an essay in the library, Calm might be the best, and if you work up a good sweat at the gym, you might want to Noisy. Tap the volume you think is best, but Spotify warns that audio quality may decrease if you choose Noisy.

How to customize your Spotify equalizer

If you prefer to be more hands-on with how your bass and treble come across in each song, you can customize the in-app equalizer or choose from a handful of pre-made genre-based options.

How to adjust the equalizer on your iPhone:

1. Open Spotify.
2. Tap the gear in the top right corner to access it settings Menu.
3. Tap the reproduction Possibility.
4. Scroll down the menu and tap equalizer.

This will open the equalizer page where you will find the manual equalizer slider and genre based equalizers.

At the top of the screen is the manual equalizer slider. It looks like a six-point line graph at the top of your iPhone screen. When you get here, the equalizer should be flat.

Each point on the chart can be adjusted for more or less tone. The leftmost bar represents your bass, the rightmost bar controls your treble, and the middle bars control – you guessed it – your midrange. You can adjust the bars as you like.

Below the manual equalizer are the genre based equalizers. You can choose what genre you’re listening to, and the app will automatically adjust the sliders to optimize for that style of music. After choosing one, you can further adjust the sliders for the perfect listening experience.

If you want to reset the equalizer, there is a genre based equalizer called Even. This will reset the equalizer to its default setting.

Unfortunately, the Mac version of Spotify doesn’t have an in-app equalizer. Yes you can Look for an equalizer application to help you find the best sound on your journey.
